Mohammad M. Amin M.D.

Dr. Amin has been in practice since 2005 and is a clinical instructor in Medicine at SUNY at Stony Brook. He is certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. His research interests include sleep disordered breathing, functional somatic syndromes and upper airway pressure- flow dynamics during sleep. Mathew Ednick D.O.

Dr. Mathew Ednick is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY Stony Brook. He joined the Stony Brook faculty in 2014. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He is Board Certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He specializes in pediatric sleep-disordered breathing and other sleep-related disorders. Avram Gold M.D. Medical Director

Dr. Avram Gold is the Medical Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at SUNY at Stony Brook. He has been in practice since 1986 and is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook. He completed Sleep Medicine Fellowships and is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Gold is also Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Gold is nationally recognized for his research in upper airway resistance syndrome.  His practice in Sleep Disorders concentrates on patients who are aged 14 and older. Nadia Hasaneen M.D, PhD.

Dr. Nadia Hasaneen is Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship and Sleep fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook. Her clinical focus is in Sleep Medicine at Stony Brook. She also practices Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is actively involved in research. Her Research work is directed at developing new therapeutic intervention for lung fibrosis and airway inflammation. Catherine Kier M.D.

Dr. Catherine Kier has been in practice since 2000,  and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY Stony Brook.  She is Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy and Immunology as well as the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Kier completed her fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine, Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine. She specializes in pediatric sleep disorders. Dr. Kier’s sleep research interests are development of upper airway in children, obstructive sleep apnea in children, obstructive apnea in Down’s syndrome, sleep disorders in juvenile fibromyalgia  as well as sleep disorders in children with HIV.  Dr. Kier’s practice in Sleep Disorders focuses on children aged two years and up. Rebecca Spiegel M.D.

Dr. Rebecca Spiegel is a neurologist, who completed her fellowship in Neurophysiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is board certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. She now sub-specializes in epilepsy and sleep. She is an Associate Professor Of Neurology. Her research interests include sleep disorders in patients with neurological diseases (epilepsy, migraines, movement disorders and multiple sclerosis). Warren Spinner D.O.

Dr. Spinner is board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Internal Medicine. He now sub-specializes in epilepsy and sleep. Dr. Spinner is an assistant professor of clinical Neurology.
